• November 28, 2013

Hong Kong, 27 November, 2013 – Genting Hong Kong has made a HKD300,000 donation to Youth Outreach to sponsor the renovation project for its Crisis Centre for Boys.

Mr Blondel So, Chief Operating Officer, Genting Hong Kong, said, “The Year 2013 is a special year for us. It coincides with our 20th anniversary. We’re honoured to be able to sponsor Outreach to refurbish its Crisis Centre for Boys. A better equipped centre with new facilities like computers and sofas can provide better accommodation for the youth. Genting Hong Kong operates sea and land-based hospitality business. Many of our employees are young people from around the world. We’ve chosen to partner with Outreach because we appreciate the very meaningful work they’re doing for these youngsters. We hope to help more young people in need to rebuild their lives and prepare them for the challenges they may face in the future.”

Youth Outreach was founded in 1991 to provide crisis intervention services to marginal adolescents inHong Kong, including an all-night outreaching service with emergency accommodation and counseling to teenagers who have either run away from home or are in danger of doing so. It has been 10 years since the Crisis Centre for Boys relocated from Shatin to Sai Wan Ho, and more than 3,000 cases have been served.
