“We were on a Wednesday cruise and surprisingly, it was packed. The check in and waiting at Harbourfront took quite a while before we were ushered onto the ship at 8-ish. Our cabin was on the 6th floor and was conveniently located near the stairs & lift. The room was cosy and clean, and somewhat bigger than what I have expected. The single bed though was a complaint for Wen. Amenities include shampoo/bodywash, hairdryer, towels, mineral water. Toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided.
Bella Vista – serves very good western breakfast!
I absolutely loved their breakfast, especially this French Toast, served with raspberry sauce and cinnamon toppings! This was served with bacon, egg, harshbrown and baked beans. Very nice and fulfilling treat!”

Superstar Virgo : Penang Shore Excursion by Wacky Duo
“Land Ahoy!
Superstar Virgo reached Penang after a 16 hour cruise from Singapore. We were docked at the Penang Cruise Center. The disembarkation was rather smooth as we depart in groups allocated according to our excursion groups. There is no need to change our passport as our access cards act as passports for our trip.
Do note the ‘Cruise Center’ is more like a pier. It’s quite unlike Harbourfront with shops around the cruise center, so do not expect to do shopping here.
Being a typical safe Singaporean family, we decided to play safe and take the Shore excursion organise by Superstar Virgo. For the more adventurous, there are numerous transport options waiting on shore ( i.e. taxi drivers) . You can negotiate with them on a day rate (recommended) and they will take you around Penang. As we did not hear anyone missing the boat, this option is rather safe.
The total time the ship docked in Penang was about 6 hours.
Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion
Our shore excursion starts with the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion which is about 20 minutes from the pier.
We took the heritage and temple shore excursion ( lunch excluded). If you are taking anything excursion without lunch, do eat your fill onboard as you may not have time to eat during the excursion. Daddy wanted to try the Penang Fried Kway Teow, but unluckily for him, time was not on his side. At least he does not have to feel guilty after eating oily food…”

Please pardon me for the quality of this series of photos becos they are taken using the old Fujifilm digital camera. It’s not Nikky, nor is it Lumix. It’s their predecessor haha.. Brought this camera out with us on our snorkelling trip becos there’s no lockers provided when we snorkel :p”

“Aloha, i’m back! Do you miss me? 
Well, to me sometimes i miss blogging about travel post, they somehow reminded me how wonderful when you’re away from the hectic city, forget about all the stress that finals and graduation brought to me. 2 months time for me to go still. Sigh! Not to mention some inner emotional break down earlier. However everything is solved, i felt much better right now. Be positive, Be happy!
Sorry if i kept you guys waiting, here comes a long long travel post! First trip on the first week of 2013, what a lovely way to kick start of the year! However instead of flying, we were invited on cruise SuperStar Gemini sailing from Penang – Phuket – Krabi. Many thanks to Hwajing Travel Tour and Nuffnang for this golden opportunity to visit SuperStar Gemini, the first in Malaysia and South East Asia to charter for its maiden voyage.
Before we start of our cruise trip, some of the guests like us that located in KL were gathered together earlier transfered by several buses to Penang. Just in time to depart at Penang Port. Free Accommodation for good service!”
